The XYZ’s of Crowdfunding

Good news to share with you today!

Take a look at this story from the New York Times about crowdfunding and new legislative improvements regarding the art of fundraising.

According to the article the new legislation that is now in effect is a positive step forward for creative visual storytellers and it may also help stimulate the economy in a positive way.

Crowdfunding encourages creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit in all of us.  This new action helps to keep the ball rolling for XYZ Video and it also legitimizes crowdfunding as a key source for funding new projects.  Since we are not signed with an artist manager &/or a talent agency, we have to connect directly to independent financing sources.

As you may know, we have been developing a very special project for many years now.  It will be a feature-length documentary that entertains and educates the audience about several creative artists here in Florida.  (Check back later for more specific details)

Crowdfunding allows the public to contribute directly to the artist and it also helps build a bridge to success for the artist/entrepreneur.

It's important to build and maintain a community through social media and grass-roots campaigning.  We are still developing the project and working to truly understand it. Then the key will be to clearly communicate it to others and explain why it's so important to help.

Sometimes movies begin as an idea or from an experience.  Other times they spring from a dream that you refuse to forget and you want to share it with everyone.

Our next project is an idea that I’ve had for over 20 years.  I look forward to finally making it a reality next year.

Anyone has the ability to pick up a camera and tell a story.  The key is to do it with a new and unique style.  To enlighten and inspire the audience is our goal.

We look forward to creating a successful crowdfunding campaign next year for our next project.

Stay tuned for new updates.  ;-)
